Eurotech Sports & Events reflects on a successful season filled with highlights

Maasbree, September 2024 – Eurotech Sports & Events proudly looks back on a season filled with exceptional moments, where we had the privilege of showcasing our expertise at numerous prestigious (sporting) events across Europe. Our dedication and experience have led to long-term partnerships and successful project executions. We are delighted to share some of the highlights from the past season.

Amstel Gold Race – A Strong Start to the Season
The season kicked off with the iconic Amstel Gold Race, one of the most beloved cycling races in the Netherlands. Thanks to our experienced team, the event ran smoothly, ensuring a successful start to the cycling season and another triumphant classic.
Our new podium truck, equipped with three LED screens, which had previously debuted at Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, once again shined during the team presentation at Maastricht’s Grote Markt.

Tour of Turkey – Innovation with the Jurywagen XL
During the Tour of Turkey, which stretched from the scenic coastal areas to the Anatolian mountains, we proudly introduced our innovative Jurywagen XL. Despite challenging geographical conditions, everything went smoothly, and the positive feedback from the organization affirmed the success of this new addition.

Tour du Hellas – Logistical Challenges in the Greek Paradise
The Tour du Hellas, held for the first time on the Greek mainland rather than the islands, required precise logistical planning. Our team ensured the smooth transport of vehicles and equipment to various locations. The event concluded at the majestic Olympic Stadium in Athens, under the shadow of the Acropolis—a unique experience and a true honor to have our vehicles at such a historic site.

Lotto Cycling Cup – A Series of Familiar Races
Shortly after the Tour du Hellas, the Lotto Cycling Cup followed, where we again showcased our expertise in supporting cycling events. This series of races is particularly close to our hearts, as Eurotech first made its mark here five years ago. Thanks to our longstanding partnership with the organization, we were once again able to deliver a series of successful races this year.

Sparda Münster City Triathlon – A Promising Newcomer
This year, we had the honor of supporting the Sparda Münster City Triathlon for the first time. As a new addition to our calendar, this was a special project that ran flawlessly. The event certainly left us wanting more, and we look forward to being involved again next year!

ZLM Tour and Baloise Tour – Classic Events in a Fresh Light
The ZLM Tour and Baloise Tour are familiar names on our calendar. With our established approach, we once again contributed to the success of these events and further strengthened our collaboration with the organizers. Both tours once again demonstrated the power of sustainable partnerships and innovation.

Thailand Grand Festival – A Cultural Spectacle in The Hague
A special addition this year was the Thailand Grand Festival, returning to The Hague after a five-year absence. The event celebrated 420 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Netherlands. For one day, the ‘Lange Voorhout’ in the city center transformed into a bustling venue filled with musical performances, boxing demonstrations, art exhibitions, food and fashion stands, and a showcase by the Netherlands’ only Sak Yant tattoo artist. Our new podium truck was used for the Amsterdam Biggles Big Band, led by Adrie Braat, providing visitors with a fully immersive experience of this festive celebration.

Tour de France Femmes & Olympic Marathon – Summer Peaks
August was the busiest month of the year, with major highlights such as the Tour de France Femmes and a special new assignment: the Olympic Marathon. Both large-scale events required precision, logistical coordination, and teamwork, and we are proud to have successfully delivered these projects to the satisfaction of all involved.

Jumping XL – A Highlight in Equestrian Sports
In the same week as the Olympic Marathon, Jumping XL in Sevenum was on our schedule, one of the largest equestrian events in Europe. It was an honor to showcase our capabilities at this leading event, which brings together the best riders and horses, in front of a home audience.

Youth Races Berlin & Tour de Pologne – A Dynamic Finale
Following the Olympic Marathon, we were present at the youth races in Berlin, where we had the opportunity to showcase our expertise in supporting up-and-coming talent. The Tour de Pologne was also a new event on our calendar this year, and we are excited to have added the Tour of Poland as a satisfied client to our portfolio.

Ready for Cyclocross
Although the season is not yet over, things are starting to quiet down. With a few major events still ahead, such as the Cologne Marathon, the ASML Marathon in Eindhoven, the Mountain Bike Festival ROC in Fréjus, and the Gravel World Championships in Leuven, we are preparing for the winter. The upcoming cyclocross events hold a special place in our hearts, as Eurotech originated from this sport, together with the Lotto Cycling Cup.

Proud of Collaborations
Eurotech Sports & Events is proud of the strong relationships we have built with our partners and looks to the future with great confidence. With our focus on innovation, customization, and dedication, we will continue to strive for success in every event we support.

2023 summer season of Eurotech Sports & Events

The 2023 summer season has been successfully completed by Eurotech Sports & Events. The company was already specialized in the organization and logistics surrounding cyclocross and cycling events. In the past summer season, new markets were also penetrated, such as equestrian sports, marathons, the European Gravel Championship and mountain bike races.

The season began on April 16 with the 57th edition of the Amstel Gold Race in the Limburg hills. During this sporting event, Eurotech Sports & Events was present with the VIP trailer with Full-HD LED screen. This 62m2 multifunctional trailer was designed with the aim of offering more added value to the customer. Because the VIP trailer can serve as a jury, studio and merchandise trailer, its use results in less CO2 emissions, fewer movements, better service and reduced travel and accommodation costs. The Full-HD LED screen gives more meaning to sponsorship than a normal canvas. On the screen, logos can be dynamically visualized through animation. In addition, a timer or live stream can be displayed on the LED screen.

Following this, Eurotech Sports & Events was in Greece with the new LED-arch jury trailer and podium trailer. From May 2 to 6, the 2023 International Tour of Hellas took place there. There were frequent comments that our LED-arch was too big in some cases. In advance, we had made a plan for this that we could apply in the third stage. With a road only 5 meters wide, we drove it in in a longitudinal direction and folded the LED-arch 180 degrees behind the car which gave us enormous interest on this day.

Afterwards Eurotech Sports & Events had a busy program with several cycling races of the Lotto Cycling Cup. In addition, we were active in the Tour de Suisse which was held from June 11 to 18, 2023. The Tour of Switzerland was mainly in the media because the 26-year-old Swiss cyclist Gino Mäder fell heavily during the fifth stage and passed away due to the accident. Eurotech Sports & Events paid tribute to Gino Mäder during the next stage by projecting “We ride for you Gino” on the LED screen.

We were also present at the ZLM Tour, Baloise Belgium Tour, German Road Championships and the Tour de Berlin Feminin. In addition to these successful cycling tours, Eurotech Sports & Events was also at the Bobstart Amsterdam event. During this unique summer event, an international push competition for the sports bobsleigh and skeleton took place on the Westerdoksplein in Amsterdam. Eurotech Sports & Events was present with the VIP trailer with LED screen.

From July 23 to 30, Eurotech Sports & Events had a big and beautiful assignment: the Tour de France Femmes 2023. We were able to show our trailer at the highest sports level and everything worked properly. Eurotech Sports & Events is proud of all the professionals who worked on the Eurotech LED-arch trailer and what has been achieved in 3 years. We have successfully completed our first A.S.O. assignment.

After the Tour de France Femmes, Eurotech Sports & Events was active at the Lotto Cycling Cup, Memorial Jef Scherens in the beautiful city of Leuven. We were also at Jumping Zaerum in Sevenum where we were present for the first time in our history with our new LED-arch jury and studio trailer with an 8x4m big screen for live images. The subsequent Tour Deutschland was a difficult tour for us. This was another moment to take a critical look at ourselves. However, the public did not notice anything of the technical defects and were able to enjoy a beautiful tour. At the last race of the Lotto Cycling Cup, the Championship of Flanders, we were again allowed to provide the finish with the accompanying podium.

On October 1, the Generali Cologne Marathon was scheduled. A magnificent event with a total of 22,000 runners at the start. Eurotech Sports & Events hooked up two Expandable trailers, the LED-arch trailer and VIP trailer. Our podium trailer was also present and was equipped with the LED screen from Vidiled. Shortly after, we were active at another marathon, the ASML Marathon Eindhoven. The event was well organized by the staff of Golazo. We are grateful that we could be there with our LED-arch jury trailer. Simultaneously with the marathons, Eurotech Sports & Events was also present at the European Gravel Championship, the mountain bike festival Roc d’Azur and the first Exact cyclocross.

In short, a busy summer season from which we can look back positively. We are currently preparing for the cyclocross races that will take place in the winter. Moreover, we are looking forward to the next summer season full of new and beautiful challenges.
